NPW is the ethical partner of choice that keeps the child at the centre of everything we do. We care about our clients and work hard to help you achieve your aspirations. We engage with our clients to help develop our products and services to ensure that what we offer is created for schools by schools.
NPW was formed in 2012 from the Newham Council school traded services teams and we have been delivering these services for a combined period of 30 years. We pride ourselves on providing high quality cost-effective solutions. NPW currently supplies and delivers in excess of 850 SLAs across our service offering to schools in London and surrounding areas.
Who we are
NPW is a not for profit mutual organisation, owned by our members. We provide a range of operational, transformational and innovative services to schools and colleges so they can focus on improving the lives of children and young people. Our services are agile, allowing us to offer bespoke packages that meet an individual clients needs.
NPW has been working with key stakeholders, and in particular our schools, to develop a range of new products. This year we will be launching a number of these products in collaboration with pilot schools and new partners. Watch this space!
All clients with service level agreements can be company members. The Board is accountable to company members for the direction and performance of the company. The benefits include attending General Meetings, having a say in how the company is run, the opportunity to join the Board, and being part of a wider network of schools and colleges. Our members also enjoy reduced fees on selected NPW training courses and discounts on room hire at Francis House.
A word from the CEO
Since my appointment as the Chief Executive of NPW in July 2014, I am proud that NPW has continued to work as a trusted and ethical partner for schools. The last few years have seen an unprecedented level of change both locally and nationally. There has been a significant shift to academisation, schools have experienced real term funding reductions, the national funding formula is being rolled out, there are difficulties in teacher recruitment and retention, changing Ofsted frameworks and the local authority is looking to build anew relationship with schools - to name a few.
At NPW we recognise these challenges and upcoming changes, which have informed our direction of travel. Our operating model has changed, to focus on high-end value added services by investing in our people to deliver the right level of expertise and meet industry standards. We are building a strong team of familiar faces and fresh talent, to drive up our efficiency and effectiveness.
We are very fortunate to be collaborating with inspiring organisations that are doing some innovative work. A number of our schools are already benefiting from the impact of this work. We will continue to share this with all of our members and the wider community. We are committed to working with you to make a positive impact on the lives of children.
